I hope you all enjoyed your Mother's Day. I had a great day on the beach with my two boys.  This week's issue is chock full of information! To start off, there is a short article on Dawn and issues affecting wildlife.  Be sure to read this article as you could win a Video Camera!!  Next up is our Work From Home feature. This article will run for 4 weeks and will be updated so be sure to check it out every week.  A moving article on a 4 year old who was diagnosed with melanoma and a very informative article on sunscreen are in this week's issue.  Lastly, Saturday May 19th is Kids to Parks day. Read all about this great event and how you can participate! It's a great way to get the kids away from those tv's and outside for some fresh air and fun!

Sunscreen Tips and Facts!


We all know how important sunscreen is, but thought I’d share a few tips and facts with you all!

While sunscreen is important to use year round, we tend to spend a lot more time outdoors in the sunshine during the summertime, so be prepared!

National Kids to Parks Day


May 19th, 2012

The National Park Trust and our mascot Buddy Bison wants everyone to have an American park experience and we are inviting every family in America to visit a national, state or local park and play outdoors on May 19, 2012. As Buddy Bison says, “Explore outdoors, the parks are yours!”

Last year, nearly 200 mayors coast to coast signed official proclamations and many hosted events in their community parks to celebrate the day. In addition, more than 15,300 families participated.
